Knoxville, Tenn. - Feb. 16, 2012 - Proving once more that it is committed to product excellence and customer satisfaction, Sea Ray has introduced a new cabin design for its 310 Sundancer. This move allows owners to choose from two yacht-caliber interiors when purchasing the Sport Cruiser.
"Until now, 310 Sundancer buyers have had only one choice: a convertible V-berth/dinette forward and a second dinette along the starboard side," said Rob Noyes, vice president of marketing for Sea Ray. "That's still an attractive layout for those who like the convenience of two dinettes, but now our owners have variety. And we think variety is a good thing when it comes to boating.
The new layout enhances comfort with an angled forward berth that measures 6'4" long and 6' wide. "The bed is easier to make and ready to fall into at the end of the day," said Noyes. Because the berth fixed and tall, Sea Ray was able to incorporate a large storage locker beneath. Access is via a pair of wood-veneer doors; similar materials and finishes are used throughout the interior to create an upscale feel.
In place of the aforementioned starboard dinette, a deluxe sofa features a fold-down middle armrest and slide-out drink holders. Since the flatscreen TV is mounted directly opposite, this makes the ideal spot for winding down and watching a movie after a day on the water. A dedicated storage cabinet under the sofa holds the salon table when it is not needed.
A plush seat under the TV offers a fine perch from which to chat with guests. Aft of this, the galley retains its refrigerator, microwave, single-burner stove and solid-surface countertop, but gains extra storage cabinets. "We're very pleased with how the new interior turned out and the benefits it offers owners." said Noyes. "It all comes back to providing the best, most enjoyable products possible."
