Knoxville, Tenn. - Sea Ray's 44 Sundancer delivers everything the Sundancer line is famous for, and then some. She stands ready to welcome you aboard with an impeccably styled, wide-open cockpit and an equally luxurious cabin.
From the moment you start the twin 8.1 S Digital Throttle and Shift Horizon MerCruiser® inboards (T-370 hp) you know this is going to be an unforgettable journey - and a peaceful one thanks to Sea Ray's patented underwater exhaust system for quieter cruising. Standard Raymarine® electronics and SmartCraft® diagnostics and VesselView let you relax and enjoy the experience of piloting the 44 Sundancer from your custom adjustable helm seat. To make life even easier, you can add the optional Sea Ray® Navigator III, a simple PC-based touch-screen chartplotting system. Your guests have plenty of seating space on a generous U-shaped aft seat or a wide companion bench. There's also a convenient cockpit table for outdoor dining with family and friends. To keep everyone refreshed, a portside wet bar has an icemaker and built-in ice bucket for cold drinks. The icemaker can be replaced by an optional cockpit refrigerator.
A polished stainless-steel windshield and fiberglass sport spoiler add to the sleek profile of the 44 Sundancer and provide excellent protection from wind and rain when the standard canvas is mounted. Docking gear and other items are neatly stowed in a large transom "trunk" that also conceals dockside water and power hookups. A transom door leads to the integral/extended swim platform with concealed ladder and grab handles. It's the ideal spot for fishing, swimming or diving.
When the day is done, a stylish contemporary cabin awaits with deep-pile carpet, handcrafted wood trim and sumptuous fabrics. The salon is open and full of light, thanks to the 44 Sundancer's extra-large hull windows and skylight. It has an ample curved Ultraleather HP sofa that converts to a bed, plus a movable hi-lo salon table that doubles as a convenient coffee table. Above, a flush-mounted skylight with retractable sunshade allows plenty of natural light to fill the interior. A drop-down 20" flatscreen TV with remote DVD player and a Clarion® stereo system with six-disc CD changer comprise the standard entertainment center. Nourishment after a long day at sea is just a few steps away in the galley, which features granite-look countertops, under-counter refrigerator and freezer, microwave, recessed stove and abundant storage.
One of the unique features of the 44 Sundancer is the mid-stateroom, which serves as an extension of the salon by day with an intimate conversation pit that conceals a slide-out bed to create extra sleeping space at night. Just pull the pocket door shut for privacy. An optional 15" TV/DVD combination can be added here for extra entertaining, plus roomy storage cabinets assure plenty of space for personal items. The mid-stateroom head and shower has private entry from the guest quarters.
The forward stateroom is a luxurious master suite with full-size bed and innerspring mattress, mirrored lockers, drawer storage and a standard entertainment center with 20" TV and remote DVD. To maximize space and add convenience, the private forward head and vanity is located to port while the separate shower is located to starboard. This way two people can use the facilities at once. The entire cabin is kept comfortable year-round, thanks to a zone-controlled heating and air conditioning system. A remote start generator is standard for power backup, plus there's a water manifold system that allows you to shut down one source without cutting off the entire water supply.
The 44 Sundancer comes with a wealth of options and a full membership in the Sea Ray Owners Club, where you get special benefits including the ability to earn a discount on your next Sea Ray.
